The destiny of neuroscience goes way beyond treating diseases. It is helping us to understand our brains and the human condition, and to build a world of compassion.

The Department of Neurosciences houses 2 major teaching programs:

• Doctoral Program in Neurosciences
  • Ranked #4 by the National Research Council
  • Offers PhD in Neurosciences
  • Specialization in Computational Neuroscience
• Residency Training Program
  • Adult and pediatric
  • Residents gain experience at 5 hospitals

• San Diego Neurology Society - Monthly meetings - third Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. except July, Aug. and Dec. at the UCSD Faculty Club.
  • Co-sponsors a Clinical Case Conference with UCSD Neurosciences, second Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m.
