News about Phase 1 Trial

In collaboration with C2N Diagnostics, Dr. Litvan has launched a Phase I clinical trial to evaluate the investigational drug C2N-8E12, an immunotherapy drug designed to bind to and remove tau protein, which is believed to build up to abnormally high levels in the brains of patients with high levels of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP).

Update on the Management of Parkinson's Disease - Thursday, January 25, 2018 6pm-7:30pm

Join us for a free seminar as Irene Litvan, MD director of the Parkinson & Other Movement Disorder Center at UC San Diego Health, welcomes Brenton Wright, MD, to the program. Dr. Wright will present an overview of the benefits of physical exercise for patients with Parkinson's Disease. He will discuss a variety of recommended exercise regimens and any evidence supporting their effectiveness, as well as the role of physical therapy. World Parkinson Congress Review

Symposium for Health Care Professionals

The UCSD Movement Disorder Center conducted its fall symposium, "Approach to Patients with Movement Disorders" on Saturday October 1st, held at Roth Auditorium - Sanford Consortium from 7:30 am - 1:30 pm.
