Memory Screening Services
Our memory screening services are for older adults with memory concerns who are interested in research participation. Services are offered throughout the year, in English and Spanish, at our center and supplemented on occasion for special events at various community-based locations.
Our staff provide individualized consultation and information about memory and aging, Alzheimer's, and related dementias, community resources, and research participation. View memory screening dates and locations below.
About Memory Screening
- Memory screenings are like other routine health check-ups.
- Each memory screening takes approximately 20 minutes and while the result is not a diagnosis, it can suggest if someone should see a physician for a full evaluation.
- No cost and no commitment to participate in research required
- Individualized consultation with participants that includes information about normal aging and memory disorders as well as available resources in the community
- We do consider requests for the provision of memory screening services for specialized communities, such as churches and senior centers, in Spanish. If you are interested in discussing this opportunity for your community, please contact Christina Gigliotti at cgigliotti@ucsd.edu.
