Dr. Grosmann earned her MD from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis followed by an internship at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and a residency in neurology at Tufts New England Medical Center. She also completed a fellowships in behavioral neurology at Massachusetts General/ Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and in clinical neurophysiology at University of Medicine and Dentistry, NJ Medical School.
She serves as Clinical Professor in Neurosciences at UC San Diego and Rady Children's Hospital with a special interest in Neuromuscular Disorders and Clinical Neurophysiology. As the Director of the San Diego Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Clinic, Dr. Grosmann supervises a team of allied health workers including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, social workers, genetic counselor and administrative staff, seeing patients from Southern California with neuromuscular conditions at one of the 200 hospital based MDA sponsored multidisciplinary clinics. She also organizes a complimentary monthly Muscle Educational forum.
In addition, she is coordinator of the monthly Neuromuscular Pathology Conference with presentation of clinical cases and pathology (CPC) at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego.
Dr. Grosmann is an associate investigator with an ongoing collaboration with Carsten Bonnemann at the NINDS on the protocol "Clinical and Molecular Manifestations of Neuromuscular and Neurogenetic Disorders of Childhood."
