research focus

The Reas lab takes a multimodal approach to understand the brain changes underlying cognitive aging and Alzheimer’s disease. We integrate advanced neuroimaging techniques with other biological and behavioral measures to investigate the factors contributing to cognitive decline with aging and neurodegenerative disease. The ultimate goal of our research is to develop more sensitive disease biomarkers and to guide approaches to preserve brain health into later life.
