Resources & Services

We provide access to state-of-the-art light and electron microscopes, as well as software for 3D and 4D analysis. All instruments are wholly owned by the Core, providing stable resources to support long-term research efforts.

Our Offerings

About the Core

We serve labs at UC San Diego, UC San Diego School of Medicine, as well as sister institutions and local companies. We offer access to well-maintained, high-end instrumentation and software that may not be available in individual laboratories.

The Core is:

  • Open to all UC San Diego labs and surrounding institutions
  • Supported by highly experienced staff
  • Designated a Leica Center of Excellence
  • #1 in supported publications among NINDS P30 Centers

Contact us to schedule a tour of the facility, demonstration of a specific system, or meeting to discuss which technology will best suit your experimental needs. You must be affiliated with an established laboratory or For-profit corporation for access to our resources. No residential addresses will be accepted as a laboratory. You must also provide a current approved BUA and/or animal protocol.
