What We Do
Our center conducts research studies dedicated to understanding the causes, comorbidities, diagnostics, and treatments for epilepsy and related seizure disorders.
We invite community volunteers with and without epilepsy to participate in research studies. Several studies are continuously recruiting patients, and you may meet the selection criteria. This means donating your time for clinical, imaging (such as MRI), and neuropsychological examination. Many studies involve diagnostic tests and no intervention, such as blood draw, lumbar puncture, EEG, and brain imaging. Some are clinical trials with medication, procedure, or surgery.
