Solana Fernandez
Solana is a graduate student pursuing a master’s in Bioengineering. Having joined the lab in summer 2025, she presently works on LLM-driven classification of clinical EEG records and validation of seizure detection algorithms. Previously, she performed acute electrophysiological recordings of the macaque hippocampus at the University of Washington to investigate learning and memory mechanisms. In her spare time, she enjoys weightlifting, boxing, and yoga. -
Remey Song
Remey is an undergraduate student at UC San Diego majoring in Neurobiology with a minor in Philosophy on the pre-med track. She joined the lab in September 2025 and is currently investigating EEG biomarkers associated with delayed cerebral ischemia following subarachnoid hemorrhage. Previously, she researched time-of-day-dependent serotonergic chemosensitivities of respiratory responses in mouse models of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy.
