  • Dawn Schiehser, PhD

    Dawn Schiehser, PhD

    Professor of Psychiatry, Neuropsychologist

    Dr. Schiehser has been with the UC San Diego Department of Psychiatry and Psychology Service at the VA Medical Center since 2004, where she has specialized in the neuropsychology of Parkinson’s disease and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Her current research and clinical interests focus on cognitive functioning, brain imaging, and cognitive rehabilitation of individuals with Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and TBI.

    Director, Neuropsychological Assessment Unit, VA San Diego Healthcare System

    Training Director, VA San Diego Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Residency Program

    Dr. Bondi is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and Fellow of the American Psychological Association and National Academy of Neuropsychology. He has been with the UC San Diego Department of Psychiatry and VA San Diego Healthcare System since 1998. His research interests center on the cognitive and brain changes of individuals at risk for dementia. In addition, he is an active clinician, teacher and supervisor for his institutions’ doctoral training, internship, and postdoctoral fellowship programs.

  • Kelsey R. Thomas, PhD

    Kelsey R. Thomas, PhD

    Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Neuropsychologist

    Dr. Thomas has been faculty in the UC San Diego Department of Psychiatry and VA San Diego Healthcare System the VA Medical Center since 2019. Her research and clinical interests focus on early cognitive and biomarker changes associated with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and vascular disease. She is an active teacher, research mentor, and clinical supervisor to neuropsychology graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
