In 2024, The UC San Diego Shiley-Marcos Alzheimer's Disease Research Center celebrated its 40th Anniversary.  This monumentus achievement stimulated reflection about the multitude of tranformational achievements and contributions made possible during this enduring tenure as a NIA Alzheimer's Disease Center of Excellence.
